Serious Problem Now
Lured by the protection and welfare offered by sanctuary cities and states, and facilitated by President Biden’s open border policies, between 7.2 and 10 million illegal immigrants have entered America since Biden’s inauguration. This influx has placed an immense financial strain on both federal and local governments, overwhelmed public facilities, and contributed to various crimes committed by illegal immigrants.

Over the years, "Sanctuary States and Cities" have implemented various welfare programs that attract and reward illegal immigration. For instance: California offers illegal immigrants access to healthcare through Medi-Cal, in-state tuition, and food assistance via CalFresh. New York City provides healthcare services through NYC Care, access to public education, and financial aid to illegal immigrants.
On his first day in office, President Biden repealed former President Trump's "Remain in Mexico" policy, which aimed to manage asylum seekers at the border. Biden also halted construction of Trump's border wall and reversed President Trump's ban on the "Catch and Release" policies.
Since President Biden assumed office on January 20, 2021, there have been over 7.2 million recorded encounters with migrants attempting to cross the Southwest border into the United States. Other sources indicate that more than 10 million people have been reported illegally entering the U.S. since Biden’s inauguration, surpassing the individual populations of 41 states.
Since Joe Biden took office, 361 individuals whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended attempting to cross the Southern Border illegally.
The surge of illegal immigration has created a tremendous burden and harm. President Biden's fiscal budget increased funding by a whopping 700% for "noncitizen processing and care". Many cities, including NYC and Chicago, are faced with huge funding deficits due to the challenges posed by illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants brutally assaulted NYC policemen and ruthless murdered a UGA student in February 2024.
